Prayer Requests for Monday (Commemoration of Hildegard)

Prayers are from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer

In peace, let us pray to the Lord, saying, “Lord, have mercy”
(or “Kyrie eleison”).

For the holy Church of God, that it may be filled with truth and love, and be found without fault at the day of your coming, we pray to you, O Lord.

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for  The Church of the Province of Uganda The Most Revd Henry Orombi Archbishop of Uganda & and Bishop of Kampala; Gusau – (Kaduna, Nigeria) The Rt Revd John Garba

For Katherine our Presiding Bishop, for Scott our own Bishop(s), for all bishops and other ministers, and for all the holy people of God, we pray to you, O Lord.

We pray for Agape Feast Creative and Outreach Ministry.

For all who fear God and believe in you, Lord Christ, that our divisions may cease, and that all may be one as you and the Father are one, we pray to you, O Lord.

We pray for our sisters and brothers in Christ in the Finnish Orthodox Church

For the mission of the Church, that in faithful witness it may preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth, we pray to you, O Lord.

For those who do not yet believe, and for those who have lost their faith, that they may receive the light of the Gospel, we pray to you, O Lord.

We especially pray for Sherri and family, that they may be delivered from the effects of a toxic church and find a church that is healthy.

Pray for Pat’s family to fully know Christ.

For the peace of the world, that a spirit of respect and forbearance may grow among nations and peoples, we pray to you, O Lord.

We pray for the people of Chad.

For those in positions of public trust, that they may serve justice, and promote the dignity and freedom of every person, we pray to you, O Lord.

For a blessing upon all human labor, and for the right use of the riches of creation, that the world may be freed from poverty, famine, and disaster, we pray to you, O Lord.

For the poor, the persecuted, the sick, and all who suffer; for refugees, prisoners, and all who are in danger; that they may be relieved and protected, we pray to you, O Lord.

Rupesh is struggling with living in a foreign country, and his dad has cancer, please pray.

Jijo Joseph needs a financial breakthrough, please pray.

Zamir passed the CDL exam, please pray for him as he begins his new job.

Wendy’s husband lost his job, please pray for them.

Kitty had a severe allergic reaction due to another person’s negligence and is getting no cooperation in holding the person responsible accountable, please pray.

Judy K. may have another child for her daycare, please pray.

For this congregation [for those who are present, and for those who are absent], that we may be delivered from hardness of heart, and show forth your glory in all that we do, we pray to you, O Lord.

For our enemies and those who wish us harm, and for all whom we have injured or offended, we pray to you, O Lord.

For ourselves; for the forgiveness of our sins, and for the grace of the Holy Spirit to amend our lives, we pray to you, O Lord.

For all who have commended themselves to our prayers; for our families, friends, and neighbors; that being freed from anxiety, they may live in joy, peace, and health, we pray to you, O Lord.

Peggy and her family need prayers: her mother Prissy is having surgery and has Crohn’s disease, and Peggy’s dad has Alzheimer’s.

Please pray for God to continue to bless Linda Laughlin, she has been the recipient of many miracles.

Kaytee is a child who may have pneumonia, please pray. UPDATE: things are better for her, please continue to pray.

Christy Noor (age 12) fell and a growth plate in her leg is damaged. Please pray for her as surgery is done. UPDATE: no surgery was needed, she will just be in a cast. Thanks to all for praying.

Gary Henry has severe burns from an explosion, please pray.

Steve Johnson has lung cancer, please pray.

Jeff has recovered from his kidney stones, let’s pray.

Rimsha is accused of blasphemy and facing death, please pray for her.

Linda has pancreatitis, please pray for healing.

Pray for Kim, who is hospitalized with something that may be meningitis or West Nile.

Ron B. has a pancreatic growth, please pray.

Wayne requests pray for Lon’s vertigo, Ran’s mental clarity, and his own relief from anxiety and pain.

James needs prayer for healing.

Tammy and her family have financial and spiritual needs, please pray.

Pat’s great-grandson (age 3) has a breathing disorder, please pray.

Baby Micah is making some progress, please continue to pray.

Linda’s son-in-law, mother and granddaughter are all sick, please pray for their healing.

Betty has lost blood after an earlier transfusion, please pray.

For all who have died in the communion of your Church, and those whose faith is known to you alone, that, with all the saints, they may have rest in that place where there is no pain or grief, but life eternal, we pray to you, O Lord.

We pray for the repose of Raquan’s soul and comfort for the Green family.

Rejoicing in the fellowship of the ever-blessed Virgin Mary, Hildegard and all the saints, let us commend ourselves, and one another, and all our life to Christ our God. To you, O Lord our God.

O God, whose blessed Son became poor that we through his poverty might be rich: Deliver us from an inordinate love of this world, that we, inspired by the devotion of your servant Hildegard, may serve you with singleness of heart, and attain to the riches of the age to come; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who
lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
