Tuesday Prayer Requests (Commemoration of John of Damascus)

Heavenly Father, Shepherd of your people, we thank you for your servant John of Damascus, who was faithful in the care and nurture of your flock; and we pray that, following his example and the teaching of his holy life, we may by your grace grow into the stature of the fullness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer 1979)

As we remember St. John of Damascus, please remember those suffering in Syria.

We pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Macedonian Orthodox Church; the Russian Old Believers; the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church; the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kiev Patriarchy); the Antiochian Catholic Church in America; the Celtic Orthodox Church; and the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria

Diana’s sister is 7 1/2 months pregnant and has been having early labor issues, please pray.

Jerry is a parapalegic who is having breathing troubles, please pray.

Kym has a serious septic infection, please pray for a full recovery.

Carroll, a 103-year-old man, has been battling dehydration, please pray for his full restoration to health.

Michelle has had a respiratory infection, please pray.

Pray for healing for a man hit by a car while crossing the street, as well as for the driver who hit him. UPDATE: the first man has died, please pray for his soul, and for the driver, who is devastated.

Gerrie’s husband is having a test for prostate cancer, please pray.

Jack (age 10) has neuroblastoma, please pray.

Pray for Brigitta and Ayanna’s success in their educations.

Jeremy is in the military, please pray for him.

Sonya requests prayer for: Sherry (pneumonia); Connie (high blood pressure): herself (high blood sugar)

Kim is improving, but still in serious condition, please pray.

Please pray for Richard, who had open heart surgery, still require abdominal surgery, and has kidney trouble, as well as for spiritual blessings and peace.

Jude (11 months) stopped breathing at one point, please pray for good test results.

Luke has an enlarged heart, please pray that his medical treatment is a success.

Dylan (age 13) is missing, please pray for a safe return.

Please continue to pray for Easton in his struggles with the seizures.
