Monday Prayer Requests

Almighty God, whose will it is to be glorified in your saints, and who raised up your servant Anskar to be a light in the world; Shine, we pray, in our hearts, that we also in our generation may show forth your praise, who called us out of darkness into your marvelous light; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for Lui – (Sudan) The Rt Revd Stephen Dokolo Ismail and Lusaka – (Central Africa) The Rt Revd David Njovu

We pray for our friends in Christ in the Lutheran Church—Canada

We also pray for the people of Liberia 

Please continue to pray for Nigerian Christians experiencing a lot of persecution.

Heidi P. needs prayer for difficulties concerning her mortgage, and also needs pray for guidance with a mold issue.

From Teresa: Our daughter Rosellen has a friend whose mother just had her bladder removed due to cancer. She has a bladder bag now. The doctors recently discovered that the cancer has spread into Joan’s heart (She had a recent heart attack) and other organs and the prognosis is not good. I ask that each of you please keep the Trauma family, specifically mom Joan, husband Vince and children Maria and Vince Jr. in your prayers too. Please ask other to pray as well and forward as you are led. We know God is the ultimate Physician and through him all healing is possible.

From Joyce: WE HAVE JUST FOUND OUT THAT A FRIEND OR THE FAMILY’S IS IN THE HOSPITAL. HER NAME IS MARY, HER OXYGEN LEVEL IS TOO LOW AND HER VITALS ARE NOT GOOD. SHE IS IN THE CARE OF HOSPICE IN HER HOME. PLEASE KEEP HER AND HER FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS. AND PLEASE PRAY FOR SALVATION ALSO AS I DON’T KNOW IF THEY ARE SAVED. THANK YOU AND I WILL UPDATE WHEN I HEAR ANY MORE NEWS. From Rod: Prayer is requested from Fran for both her sister Rose and niece Nancy. Nancy has one of those rare diseases and a cure diagnosis is not yet on the table. Rose has been diagnosed with cancer and more MRI’s to go. We would request more fervent prayer for Pastor Hector who has still not found an available liver match. He, in turn,requests prayer for his brother Nino as his sight is almost completely gone. Also his grandson Joey who cannot sleep at bed time.

Elizabeth just got dentures and is having difficulties, please pray.

From Prison Fellowship: Join us in praying for the work being done in prisons throughout the country, and for the lives being touched by our ministry together in the name of Christ. This week, please pray: 1) For the “bridge training” that took place in Phoenix, Arizona, this past weekend to be effective and fruitful. 2) For prisoners and caregivers to believe God is good and His love endures forever. 3) For Prison Fellowship staff, volunteers, and ministry participants to exalt the name of Jesus and worship Him freely. 4) For each of our Angel Tree program specialists to be refreshed to encourage Angel Tree coordinators across the country in 2013. 5) For God’s people to speak the truth in love and to defend the faith in the public square. Thank you so much for keeping all of these aspects of Prison Fellowship Ministries’ Christ-centered efforts in our nation’s prisons and communities in your prayers.
