Prayer Requests (Commemoration of Charles T. Quintard)

Almighty and everlasting God, you hate nothing you have made and forgive the sins of all who are penitent: Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of you, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. (Book of Common Prayer 1979)

Let us pray to the Lord, who is slow to anger and rich in mercy.

During this Lenten time of prayer, fasting and self-examination, let us pray that the Church may be strengthened for its mission to those who need the Gospel.

We pray for Prison Fellowship’s needs (parents of inmates, juvenile justice reform, Prisoners to Pastors program); Christians on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines (persecution)

Holy God, the effects of sin are all around us. Let your healing grace and mercy reach out to all those in need.

We pray for all those in need of jobs.

Let those who are sick, suffering or in any need know of your healing power in their difficulty.

Prayers are requested for Robert (prisoner); Manny (brain dead); a 10 year old boy (pneumonia); Ed’s son (cancer); Christy (needs a job); Bonnie (possible heart attack or stroke); Sheilah (discouraged); Kris’ mom (workplace difficulties); a family of 3 in need; Debbie (mortgage difficulties); Carmen (virus); Jeff (diabetic with a scrape); Ronn (upcoming cancer surgery); Andrew (abusive alcoholic); Stanley (prostate cancer);  Marie (bladder problem); Jessy (flu symptoms); Sharon (finances for an India trip); Kaedyn (cancer); Tripp (cancer); Elizabeth (heart failure, success with a treatment); David (slow heartbeat); David Wayne (liver/pancreatic failure, heptitis, AIDS); Angiela (hit by car, no money for surgery); Ashiq Khokar (business success); Karen (severe CHF); Andrea  (recovering from a cancer operation); a woman in the Navy and her child; Harold Jr. (cancer); the many needs of Dale’s prayer list; Sagren (needs a job)

We also pray for an elderly cat who is dying.

Let the faithful departed rest in peace, bring a knowledge and assurance of your love to those who mourn, and keep all of us who pray in everlasting life.

We pray for the souls of Nathan, Dominic

We also praise you for the blessings in our lives, that we and the whole Church may eagerly look forward to rejoicing at Resurrection Day.

Let us give thanks for Morgan’s successful heart procedure.

Heavenly Father, Shepherd of your people, we thank you for your servant Charles, who was faithful in the care and nurture of your flock; and we pray that, following his example and the teaching of his holy life, we may by your grace grow into the stature of the fullness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. (Book of Common Prayer 1979)
