Tuesday Prayer Requests

Almighty God, whose blessed Son was led by the Spirit to be tempted by Satan; Come quickly to help us who are assaulted by many temptations; and, as you know the weaknesses of each of us, let each one find you mighty to save; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with
you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. (Book of Common Prayer 1979)

Let us pray to the Lord, who is slow to anger and rich in mercy.

During this Lenten time of prayer, fasting and self-examination, let us pray that the Church may be strengthened for its mission to those who need the Gospel.

The Catholic Church’s leadership (preparing for conclave after the Pope’s resignation);

Holy God, the effects of sin are all around us. Let your healing grace and mercy reach out to all those in need. Restore everything that is broken in our lives to wholeness.

We pray for persecuted Christians in Colombia; Jennifer (seeking a better job); Sharon (bad stuff going on at her apartment complex); Tammy’s husband (needs to pass tests for a job); Michelle F. (may be transferring due to job difficulties); Jack (future, family, education, guidance); Bert Hewett (prison); Lynette Millard; Carol (moving, may be getting into a difficult situation); Sandeep Barla (taking several exams)

 Let those who are sick, suffering or in any need know of your healing power in their difficulty.

We pray for Millie (UTI); Heidi (irritated eye); David (age 6, leukemia); Tony (90’s, blind in one eye and recovering from cataract surgery); Jeniffer (recurring bladder infections, needs to know Christ); Carlie (baby, not gaining weight); Alejandria Lopez (PAD-related surgery coming up); Eleanor Higgins (fast heart rate, cancer); Connie (ministry, health needs); Tammy (bronchitis); Linda Laughlin (bruised after a fall); Barbara Gray (heart attack and stroke); Kari (recent eye surgery); Marylyn (yeast infection); Kimberley (recent pacemaker surgery); Terrie (lung cancer); Betty (fluid on lungs after a transfusion); Pat Alejandro (f, stroke); Lisa Earp (cancer); Eden Hawkins (age 5, surgery); John Harold (hospitalized); Eugene Riddley (recovering from surgery);  Fr. Fred’s dad (liver cancer) pray for Fr. Fred and his mom, too; Frankie (m, may need knee surgery)

Let the faithful departed rest in peace, bring a knowledge and assurance of your love to those who mourn, and keep all of us who pray in everlasting life.

We remember Alicia Castilla

We also praise you for the blessings in our lives, that we and the whole Church may eagerly look forward to rejoicing at Resurrection Day.

Almighty God, the giver of all good gifts, in your divine providence you have appointed various orders in your Church: Give your grace, we humbly pray, to all who are called to any office and ministry for your people; and so
fill them with the truth of your doctrine and clothe them with holiness of life, that they may faithfully serve before you, to the glory of your great Name and for the benefit of your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and
for ever. (Book of Common Prayer 1979)
