Tuesday Prayer Requests (Commemoration of Dietrich Bonhoeffer)

Almighty God, by whose grace and power your holy martyr Dietrich triumphed over suffering and was faithful even to death: Grant us, who now remember him in thanksgiving, to be so faithful in our witness to you in this world, that we may receive with him the crown of life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one
God, for ever and ever. (Book of Common Prayer 1979)

Let us pray to our Risen Lord, who invites us to share in his Resurrection.

As you equipped the apostles to preach the Gospel to all, strengthen your Church to share the Good News.

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for Muyinga – (Burundi) The Rt Revd Eraste Bigirimana

We pray for our friends in Christ in the Northern Evangelical Lutheran Church

From Breaking Christian News: “We must respond now to the Christian leaders’ request to pray for them. Pray for Kim Jong-Un; that God will work in his heart and he will pursue peace and not war. Pray for wisdom for leaders in the United States, South Korea and China. Pray for Christians who are put in even more danger due to war preparations. Pray families will find food to feed their families. Finally, pray that no matter what happens Christians will remain strong in their faith.”

Katlego (f, age 17, drugs and alcohol, needs Christ)

Lord, you came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Restore all situations in our lives that hurt or discourage us and reassure us of your grace.

We pray for the people of Panama

Angela (dealing with difficult kids at library position)

You reconciled us by your blood and by your wounds we are healed, restore all of us to that health that is yours to give.

Rod’s nephew’s son (breathing difficulties)

Let the faithful departed rest in peace, especially Annette; comfort those who mourn with the promise of resurrection from the dead, especially Annette’s family and bring all of us safely to your Kingdom.

We also praise you for the blessings in our lives, especially the gift you gave us at Calvary.

O God, you led your holy apostles to ordain ministers in every place: Grant that your Church, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may choose suitable persons for the ministry of Word and Sacrament, and may uphold them in their work for the extension of your kingdom; through him who is the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. (Book of Common Prayer1979)
