Lord Jesus Christ, who are called the Prince of Peace, who are yourself our peace and reconciliation, who so often said, "Peace to you," 
grant us peace. Make all men and women witnesses of truth, justice, 
and brotherly love. Banish from their hearts whatever might endanger peace. Enlighten our rulers that they may guarantee and defend the

Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church;

That we all may be one.
Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you;
That your Name may be glorified by all people.
We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons;
That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and
Sacraments.

We pray for our friends in Christ in:

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world;
That there may be justice and peace on the earth.

We pray for the people of:

Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake;
That our works may find favor in your sight.
Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble;
That they may be delivered from their distress.

Give to the departed eternal rest.
Let light perpetual shine upon them.
We pray for Christopher and Joe, killed in combat.
We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy;
May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom.

We especially remember the Martyrs of Uganda and Pope John XXIII

Let us pray for our own needs and those of others.
Let’s give thanks for: improvements in Carrie’s life (new church, possible good job opportunity where blindness isn’t an issue)

O God, your never-failing providence sets in order all things both in heaven and earth: Put away from us, we entreat you, all hurtful things, and give us those things which are profitable for us; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
