Thursday Prayer Requests

Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church;
That we all may be one.

We pray for our friends in Christ:

Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you;

That your Name may be glorified by all people

We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons;
That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and
Sacraments.

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for:

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world;
That there may be justice and peace on the earth.

We also pray for the US states of:

Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake;
That our works may find favor in your sight.

Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble;
That they may be delivered from their distress

  • Beverly’s family (spiritual oppression)
  • Robert (needs a job)
  • Shakila (to find a job and conceive a child)
  • Karis (Krabbe’s disease)
  • Linda (seeking new employment)
  • Donna (cancer), also for husband Vern and son David
  • Stephanie (pain)
  • Gerrie’s granddaughter, the granddaughter’s husband and their daughter (family torn apart by husband’s alcoholism and controlling mother)
  • Jackay (financial blessings and peace in the family)

Give to the departed eternal rest.
Let light perpetual shine upon them.

  • Dixie’s son who commited suicide, comfort for Dixie
  • Kevin’s grandmother, comfort for Kevin

We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy;
May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom.

Let us pray for our own needs and those of others.
Let’s give thanks:

  • That Kaedyn does not have leukemia showing in his blood
  • A good outcome from Tammy’s minor car accident

O gracious God, we remember before you today your servant and apostle James, first among the Twelve to suffer martyrdom for the Name of Jesus Christ; and we pray that you will pour out upon the leaders of your Church that spirit of self-denying service by which alone they may have true authority among your people; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The prayers are from The Book of Common Prayer.
