Prayer Requests (Week of 12 Pentecost)

Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church;
That we all may be one.

We pray for our friends in Christ:

Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you;

That your Name may be glorified by all people

  • Anthony’s salvation
  • Behnam (prisoner for Christ)
  • Atikullah (Christian facing opposition in Bangladesh)
  • Yang (prisoner for Christ)
  • Members of New Life Church in Neluwaththuduwa, Colombo, Sri Lanka (persecution)

We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons;
That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and
Sacraments.

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for:

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world;
That there may be justice and peace on the earth.

We also pray for countries of:

Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake;
That our works may find favor in your sight.

  • Inmates and their families: Floyd, Clara, Ross, Zachary, the Kruse family, Scotty, Mindy, Byron, Patrick, the Reyna family, Richard Jr. and Richard Sr., David, Michael, Nedila and family, Jermaine, Anjelo, Kristien, the Lewis family, the Martin family
  • Matthew (US military)
  • Flood victims in Kerala, India
  • Diana (has to manage an office on her own)
  • Ashanay (bad choices pulling her from God)
  • Vinnie (deliverance from trouble)

Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble;
That they may be delivered from their distress

  • Tanner (lost most of his jaw in an accident), pray for his mom, sister and grandmother too
    Leah (fell and re-injured her ankle, past stroke history)
    Robin (fractured pelvis, may not know Christ)
    Delana’s daughter (facing reconstructive facial surgery)
    Colton (child with kidney problems)
    Joann (for favor, success and a good doctor’s report)
    Jackson (17 mos. old, beaten)
    Joey (dengue fever)
    Perry (bad accident, medically induced coma)
    Jannette and Carl (both taking cancer treatments)
    Jaydee
    Eleanor (cancer-related interstinbal blockage)
    Betty
    Pastor Ron’s brother (leg injured in a motorcycle accident)
    Kurt (spinal stenosis)
    Linda (cancer, financial difficulties, facing eviction)
    Matthew (cancer survivor, upcoming tests)
    George (surgical procedure)
    Gayle (lung cancer)
  • Chad (liver cancer, gallbladder trouble)
  • Vivian (Chad’s mom)
  • John (prisoner, possible throat cancer)
  • Fr. Reese (ALS)
  • Nick (heart attack)
  • Tina (for good endoscopy results)
  • Elenor (healing)
  • Pete (blood clot)
  • Nancy (knee and hand pain) and sister Caroline (kidney problems)
  • Eileen (strength and support) and sister Brenda (autoimmune and pain issues)
  • Sonia (depression, recently lost husband)
  • Lilly (age 12, possible lupus or lymphoma), please pray for parents Angela and Rohn
  • Benjamin (to let go of anger)

Give to the departed eternal rest.
Let light perpetual shine upon them.

  • Gordon’s wife (RIP+), please pray for Gordon
  • Caryn, Eric, Stephen, Nicholas, killed in Afghanistan
  • Trevor (only 8), please pray for his family

We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy;
May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom.

Let us pray for our own needs and those of others.
Let’s give thanks:

For all the blessings God has given to us

  • Luke’s continued recovery

Grant to us, Lord, we pray, the spirit to think and do always those things that are right, that we, who cannot exist without you, may by you be enabled to live according to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

In honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary: O God, you have taken to yourself the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of your incarnate Son: Grant that we, who have been redeemed by his blood, may share with her the glory of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
