Monday Prayer Requests (Commemoration of “St. Sam”)

Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church;
That we all may be one.

We pray for our friends in Christ:

United Church of Christ-Congregational in the Marshall Islands

Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve you;

That your Name may be glorified by all people

We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons;
That they may be faithful ministers of your Word and

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for:

Tanga – (Tanzania) The Rt Revd Maimbo Mndolwa
Tarime – (Tanzania) The Rt Revd Dr R Mwita Akiri

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world;
That there may be justice and peace on the earth.

For the US Congress to end the government shutdown and resolve the debt ceiling issue

Those in the path of the storm in the Bay of Bengal

We also pray for:

Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake;
That our works may find favor in your sight.

Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble;
That they may be delivered from their distress

David (getting tested for Alzheimer’s), pray for wife Gail too
Silas (a baby who desperately needs a heart transplant)
Lena (injured in a serious fall, has never recovered)
Emma (severe back pain)
Dorothy and Margaret (Alzheimer’s)
Sharon (severe pain, not sure of the cause)
Tracy and her children (fiancee and father of her kids is in prison)

Give to the departed eternal rest.
Let light perpetual shine upon them.

We praise you for your saints who have entered into joy;
May we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom

Let us pray for our own needs and those of others.

Let’s give thanks:

For all the blessings God has given to us

Joey’s recovery from an asthma attack
Barbara’s recovery from internal bleeding
The online community of Anglican List (aka St. Sam’s)

Almighty and everlasting God, we thank you for your servant Samuel, whom you called to preach the Gospel to the people of China. Raise up in this and every land evangelists and heralds of your kingdom, that your Church may proclaim the unsearchable riches of our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
