One of the oldest sayings in the book is “Well, do you want an engraved invitation or what?” Usually, it’s said in the context of getting people to go ahead and do something, to get them to stop dithering around and just DO it.
it’s easy to overlook the fact that we’ve literally been handed an engraved invitation from Christ himself. Today’s religious world is so full of messages about condemnation and do’s and dont’s that you can easily overlook the promises it has.
- The “tree of life” is available for those who do his commandments
- Those who are thirsty can freely drink from the water of life
- Jesus will return for us – we ought to live faithfully as we don’t know the day or hour of this event
